Gin & Wagyu Gift Pack

Two thick wagyu porterhouse steaks, a bottle of our own gin, and the two things that make the difference between cooking a steak and cooking a good one. Everything for one very good afternoon.

Delivery

Delivered every Saturday and Monday. Choose your delivery day at checkout. Order by midnight Tuesday for that week's Saturday and Monday runs. Delivered across Victoria — check your postcode at the top of this page before ordering.

Someone aged 18 or older needs to be at the address to accept it. It contains alcohol, so it cannot be left at the door.

In the box

• 2 × 250g wagyu porterhouse steaks, marble score 4–5
• 1 × Atlas Market Gin, 700mL, 40% ALC/VOL, made in Melbourne
• 1 × Charlie's Steak Salt
• 1 × house-made chimichurri, 120g

Cooking them

Take the steaks out of the fridge a good half hour before they hit the pan. Salt them heavily on both sides — more than feels reasonable — and get the pan hotter than you think you need. Leave the fat cap on and render it hard. Two and a half minutes a side for medium rare at this thickness, then rest them for as long as you cooked them, and slice across the grain. Chimichurri goes on at the table, not in the pan.
